Your Wedding Day

Bridal Hair At Hotscope

A style planned around your dress, your veil and the hours you need it to hold. We start with a trial, so nothing about your wedding morning is a surprise.

  • From $45Trial
  • 90 MinutesTypical Time
The Hotscope Approach

Bridal hair is the one appointment that cannot be rushed or repeated. Your stylist looks at your hair type and length, the neckline of your dress, where your veil or accessories sit, and how many hours the style has to survive, then builds something that still looks right at the last dance.

Everything is tested at the trial first, so the wedding morning is simply a calm repeat of a style you have already seen on yourself. If your hair needs color, a trim or extensions beforehand, the timeline below shows when to book them.

Two Appointments

The Trial And The Day

Most brides book both. The trial is where decisions get made, and the wedding day is where they get repeated.

  • Your style created in full, exactly as it would be on the day
  • Time to test the veil going in and coming out
  • Photos from every angle so nothing is forgotten
  • A note of the products, pins and timings for your morning
Step Two

Wedding Day Styling

$89Starting Price

  • The agreed style recreated, with about 90 minutes in the chair
  • Preparation and product chosen for a long day
  • Veil and accessories fitted and secured properly
  • A final check in front of the mirror before you leave
  • Spare pins to take with you, just in case
Planning Guide

Your Bridal Hair Timeline

When to book each appointment so your hair peaks on the right day, not two weeks early or late.

  1. 6 To 4 Months Before

    Reserve Your Date

Call as soon as you have a wedding date. Saturdays in peak season book out first, and early booking gives you room for the trial.

  2. 3 Months Before

    Plan Any Color Or Length

If you want balayage, a color change or extensions for the day, start now. It gives time to adjust the tone or blend before photos.

  3. 6 To 8 Weeks Before

    Book Your Trial

Close enough that your hair is at wedding length, far enough out to try a second option if the first is not quite right.

  4. 2 To 3 Weeks Before

    Final Color And Trim

A gloss or root touch up now looks settled rather than freshly done, and a light trim keeps the ends clean for close up photos.

  5. The Week Of

    Rest Your Hair

No new products, no experiments and no heavy oils. Wash the day before rather than the morning itself, unless your stylist says otherwise.

  6. Wedding Day

    Styling At The Salon

Arrive with dry, brushed hair and your veil, and allow about 90 minutes. Bring your photos from the trial so everyone is working from the same picture.

  • A Dress PhotoThe neckline and back matter more than the whole gown.
  • InspirationTwo or three photos you love, and one you definitely do not.
  • Day Old HairWash the day before rather than the same morning, unless told otherwise.
  • Your ExtensionsIf you plan to wear them, bring them so they can be blended in.
  • Your TimingsCeremony time and how early you need to leave on the day.
Not Just The Bride

Bridal Party Bookings

Tell the salon how many people are coming and what each of them wants, and the morning can be planned with enough time and stylists.

  • Bridesmaids

Coordinated styles that suit each hair type rather than one look forced on everyone.

  • Mother Of The Bride

A softer, comfortable style that photographs well and holds through the day.

  • Flower Girls And Guests

Simple sets and blow dries, booked around the bride so the timings work.

Good To Know

Bridal Hair Questions

How Far In Advance Should I Book Bridal Hair?

As early as you can, ideally 4 to 6 months before the wedding, and sooner for peak season Saturdays. Booking early gives you the pick of dates and time for a trial well before the day.

Do I Need A Bridal Trial?

A trial is strongly recommended and starts from $45. It is the only way to test how a style suits your hair, your dress neckline and your veil, and to time the morning properly.

How Much Is Bridal Hair At Hotscope?

Day of bridal styling starts from $89, with a trial from $45. Length, thickness, extensions and the complexity of the style can change the final figure, confirmed before any work begins.

How Long Does Bridal Styling Take?

Allow about 90 minutes for the bride on the day. A trial takes a similar amount of time, because your stylist is testing and adjusting rather than repeating something known.

Can My Bridesmaids And Family Book Too?

Yes. Tell the salon how many people are coming and which styles they want when you book, so the morning can be planned with enough time and stylists.

Will My Bridal Hair Last All Day?

A bridal style is built to hold through photos, heat and dancing, using preparation and product suited to your hair type. Bring a few pins in your bag for peace of mind.

Do You Style At The Wedding Venue?

Bridal styling takes place at the salon in Sugar Land. If you need a different arrangement, ask when you call and the team will tell you what is possible.

What Should I Bring To My Trial?

Your veil or hair accessories if you have them, a photo of your dress neckline, two or three inspiration photos, and any extensions you plan to wear.
